About The Photographer In early 2004, my friend David Herlong of Herlong Photography approached me with a business proposition. The PONY 2004 National Fast Pitch Softball Tournament for 18 and 16 year old girls was being hosted in July by the City of Raleigh and the Town of Cary, and he wanted to place a bid with the host organization for the tournament photography services. David and I created an informal partnership, placed a bid with the hosting cities, and were selected to provide all photographic services for the 2004 tournament. This led to additional projects with Raleigh Parks and Recreation as well as other clients. David also referred me to Randy Temple of ASPN. I worked with Randy on a number of sports projects, large and small, until he moved to Tennessee, and learned much from him in the process. After Randy’s departure, my wife and I decided to form our own company…and Focus on Memories Photography was born. About Us Focus on Memories Photography was formed to provide professional photographic services to a range of clients in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. We specialize in sports photography, including Team and Individual (T&I) as well as action for civic leagues, churches, and recreational leagues.
